Huggie & Hoop Size Guide: Find Your Perfect Fit

Huggie & Hoop Size Guide: Find Your Perfect Fit

Hoops should feel effortless—secure, comfortable, and sitting exactly where you want them. But the same hoop size can look totally different on different people.

Why the same size fits differently

Even if two models wear the exact same hoop, the fit can change because:

  • Lobe size varies (small/medium/large lobes)

  • Piercing placement varies (closer to the edge vs further in)

A piercing that sits lower/closer to the edge usually makes a hoop look looser.
A piercing that sits higher/further in can make the same hoop look snugger.

That’s why we always recommend measuring your ear for the most accurate size.

How to measure your hoop size (1 minute)

You’ll need: a ruler in mm (or any tape measure with mm)

Step 1: Measure your ear

Measure vertically down from the centre of your piercing hole to the bottom edge of your lobe (in mm).

Step 2: Choose your fit

  • Snug fit: add +1mm

  • Loose fit: add +2mm

Step 3: Pick the closest hoop size

If you’re between sizes, choose the larger one—1mm makes a big difference in comfort, but barely changes the look.

Quick example

If your measurement is 7mm:

  • Snug fit: 7mm + 1mm = 8mm

  • Loose fit: 7mm + 2mm = 9mm–10mm

Still unsure?

Send us your measurement (in mm) + where you’ll wear it (1st/2nd/3rd lobe or helix), and we’ll recommend the best size.
